A Clear Picture

Can you see it? Do you see the activities of Satan manifesting around the world today? Honestly, I feel it has gotten so blatant it seems it won’t be long before we see the fallen flying around in broad daylight. Evil does not even try to hide any longer.

Homosexuality runs rampant and is supported by many government officials and agencies, and it’s gone even further with insanity being celebrated and supported.

People have gotten so far away from reality, they are commonly denying their birth gender and identifying as everything from the opposite sex to seasons, animals, and entities. Human trafficking is more prevalent today than at any time in history, and it is encouraged.

The denial of the responsibility of individuals is supported and encouraged, even to the point of no sentencing in the courts. Unborn babies are being slaughtered by the millions, even up to the moment of birth, and so-called Christians are voting for politicians that not only support abortion, but encourage and promote it.

They don’t even realize that the aiding and abetting of such evil acts by these politicians makes them complicit in this crime against God’s creation! There are places in the world today where you may curse anything good and moral, but if you speak against evil, you very likely could be arrested and jailed for hate speech.

The Scripture speaks of the coming of the end times and how people will call evil good and good evil. It speaks of a great falling away. This seems to be happening today—pastors and popular clergy, after years and years of supposedly serving the Lord, are renouncing their belief in Christ.

Do you see it? Is the picture I’m painting clear enough? The Word tells us to not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

People all over are coming to church for nothing more than to be entertained. They want a show, and they want to leave feeling good as if they had gone to a concert or a comedy club; many just want a show.

Well, let me put this into perspective—the Sun came up this morning, the birds are flying around, you breathe in the very creation of God Himself.

These are just a few of the awesome things God has done. How big of a show do you need? Is what I just described not a Big enough Show for you? Victor Frankl said “A man without a deep sense of purpose will occupy himself with pleasure,” and that’s fact!

In the times we live in today, people refuse to even attempt to grasp that they are an Eternal Spirit (a living Soul), and this body we inhabit is nothing more than a vessel for a short time. In reality, it’s about forever, and what we do today should be in preparation for that!

I recently heard someone say everything has changed, and superficially that is true. Our country has changed, society has changed, common morals have changed, our speech habits, communication skills, attitudes, and dress has changed.

Many things that in my early life would have been considered heinously immoral are now common practice and widely accepted. Our education has changed, and it has changed so drastically that if it were graphed on a line graph it would resemble a rock being dropped into a bottomless pit!

Today a child in the public education system receives only the basic skills needed for a minimalist survival with no focus on improvement or continued learning. Requirements have been, and continue to be, lowered to the lowest common denominator.

Even our so-called institutes of higher education have fallen and failed to truly educate. Many with these made up degrees and degrees that were gained with lowered requirements struggle and flounder in their work life, and most work outside the area of their degrees.

This morning I read the results of a recent study have revealed that 43% of Masters degrees fail to deliver financial returns. Forty-three percent—and at what cost?

Yes, it seems everything has changed, with one exception—God! God has not, does not, and will not change! The Scripture tells us God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He does not and has not changed!!!

It is easy to gaze upon the superficial and become downtrodden. But that has no value, We are a daedalean creation of God Himself.

The Bible tells us, with no uncertainty, that we are wonderfully made! God has great expectations for, and of, us. Should we as His creation be satisfied with mediocrity? Is just getting by or just surviving enough for you? If so, I contend you are afflicted with slothfulness (not easily aroused to activity), and slothfulness is one of the seven deadly sins.

Joshua said, “Choose you this day whom you will serve,” so whom do you serve? The Lord or self?

As Christians, we serve the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the one whose name is above all names, Jesus Christ! We should act like it everyday, all the time. We should be storing up our treasures in Heaven and not worrying about things here on Earth.

For Christians, this present life is the closest they will come to Hell.

For unbelievers, it is the closest they will come to Heaven.
