Snake and Saw
A snake crawled across a sharp saw. As it slithered over it, the saw cut the snake. The snake became angry and coiled itself around the saw trying to exert its anger and squeeze the life out of the object that had injured it.
The thought had now consumed the snake and it squeezed harder and harder. The harder it squeezed the more it was cut and so the cycle continued until the snake was dead.
You see, this is what anger does to us. We get angry and want satisfaction but the harder we try to gain that satisfaction the angrier we get until it consumes us. In our anger we destroy ourselves and the object of our anger remains unharmed.
Anger is a tool of the adversary meant to destroy and consume us redirecting our focus from God. But forgiveness is a blessing from God and heals us from the burden and pain that anger brings.
βTo err is human, to forgive Divine!β
Have you ever gotten angry and allowed it to steal your Joy? Forgive and move on!
