It is Not Known

For almost 2 years I have been writing commentary on the Bible and teaching the Scripture. It has been asked why I so often teach harsh things and things that are so convincing in the spirit. Well, the truth is that conviction is how we are purified through the Word.

If a Scripture causes me to realize I am weak or wrong in an area, then I can correct it and/or repent of it. We don’t have to think very deeply of these times to grasp that this world has become evil. Sure, there are still places that are holding out and staying strong spiritually.

I had the opportunity to visit one of those places in Texas earlier this year, but this is an exception rather than the norm. To my knowledge, there is not a just and righteous large city left in the United States.

Think about that! The large population centers of our once great nation are all corrupt; they are consumed with corruption from the bottom to the top.

Perversions of every type prevail in our large metropolitan areas and are, as a matter of fact, spreading throughout the rest of the country more with each passing day. Long standing marriages are becoming a thing of the past as temptations abound.

Immorality is everywhere, and the demons don’t even try to hide in the darkness anymore. Homosexuality was once only whispered about but now roams the streets screaming that they are coming for our children; it is taught and promoted in public schools and libraries.

Murder and violence are rampant, along with theft and rape. Human trafficking is at the highest it has ever been in recorded history.

Yet there are still people (so-called Christians) that want to be spoon-fed a sugar-coated message from the Bible. They prefer to be like the story of the ostrich, sticking their heads in the sand as if these things didn’t exist, as if somehow refusing to see the coming disaster will make it go away.

No, I tell you! This refusal of God’s people to see and address evil is a sin of omission and will be judged by God. Remember the Church of Laodicea?

Christians cannot be lukewarm! You see, just as in the verse of that great old hymn Amazing Grace, “I once was blind but now I see!” And now that I do, I feel a great sense of urgency in my soul to teach and open the eyes of others. Can you not see?

Genesis 6:5  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Just as in the days preceding the flood that destroyed the earth there were times like we observe today, but the people could not or refused to see what was happening. I guess the belief of most is either nonexistent or so weak they unwittingly think nothing will happen. I’m here to tell you the Holy Word of God teaches otherwise.

Matthew 24:37-39

37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

This is not a verse from the Old Testament but from the New. The Scripture teaches us that we will not know when Jesus will return to collect His people.

Folks will be going about their daily lives, going to work, enjoying themselves, dealing with the daily issues and happenings, no different than any other day, when Jesus appears in the heavens and calls those that are His to Himself.

We are not guaranteed the day nor the hour, whether it be the time of our death or the time of the catching up! We must be ready in season and out, for at any second we could see the face of the Lord in the sky, and then it will be too late for those that are lost to experience the “rapture” of Jesus Christ.

What comes next is terror beyond imagination; the tribulation will be Hell on Earth! The total absence of God’s presence—no Holy Spirit.

Evil will run unrestrained over the face of the Earth and mankind for a period of seven years. Then the Lord will return as the vanquisher, the destroyer of all evil upon the Earth, and He will reign for a thousand years, at the end of which the Earth will be consumed by fire and the New Jerusalem will descend from Heaven. This will be the eternal home of the SAVED!

The question is, are you ready? Have you accepted the precious gift afforded to you by the Blood of the Lord Jesus? Or maybe you hesitate and languish in the pleasures of the flesh, only to be consumed by the fires and torment of damnation. If you do not believe, you are lost to the pit of Hell itself! So how do you believe? By hearing and learning the Word of God! It is the only truth!

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

I pray that you all know the truth and have or will be saved by the grace of God through faith, in understanding of our precious Lord, Jesus Christ! Amen
