On the Subject of Abortion
I had intended to write something on this subject several days ago but put it off to pray more and seek God’s word because I can be somewhat harsh on certain topics at times.
After reading and praying, what I got was far more harsh than what I would have originally written.
In Genesis after the creation of Adam and Eve, God told them to be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth. In Proverbs, we are told to “raise up a child in the way they should go and they will not depart from it.” In Matthew we read that Jesus said “for what you do to the least of these you do to me also.” Although He was speaking about being kind to the less fortunate, I believe this even more so applies to harming those less fortunate and to harm those that cannot defend themselves is a grave sin against God.
To harm a child in which we are given charge to produce, tend and train up (born or unborn) is a true abomination of the very creation God made.
To assist in the destruction of a defenseless child in or out of the womb by actually acting or supporting a group that engages in such activities is no different than Judas accepting the silver to betray Christ.
We have folks sitting in the pews of Churches that claim to be saved children of our risen Savior, voting and financially supporting those that desire and promote the slaughter of God’s children. Yet they somehow call themselves Christians.
Maybe they are blind to what they are doing, but I wonder if that blindness is intentional.
They all should remember that God is a Wrathful God and there will be a reckoning for what they have done either in Heaven or on Earth or both.
I can’t imagine a more grievous sin than destroying those that God intended to populate His creation when they have no means of protecting themselves.
We pray that God opens the eyes of those who do not understand what they are participating in. And we pray that He blesses the many ministries that exist to help and do life with mothers who are struggling and in need of health, education, companionship and resources.
