Sinful Man

Sinful man is at war with God, but their arms are too short to reach Him. Instead they fight their battle with God's people on this earth—the Church.

Today the battle is in full pitch, Every single WOKE policy, position, and argument is a declaration of open warfare against God.

Churches that agree with those WOKE approaches are traitors and have joined the enemy in their war against God. The battle lines are not between Republicans and Democrats.

The battle lines are not between Conservative and Liberal/Progressive.  The battle lines are not between the philosophies and ideologies of men.

The battle line is between God & His Church against all who reject His son Jesus Christ by their words, their acts, or their lifestyles. Unfortunately in America, a substantial number of those who are at war with God identify themselves as Christians....

Speaking of this battle, the Creator tells us what happens.  From Psalms 2:

1 Why do the nations rage

and the peoples plot in vain?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves,

and the rulers take counsel together,

against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

3 “Let us burst their bonds apart

and cast away their cords from us.”

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs;

the Lord holds them in derision.

5 Then He will speak to them in His wrath,

and terrify them in His fury, saying,

6 “As for Me, I have set My King

    on Zion, My holy hill.”

7 I will tell of the decree:

   The Lord said to me, “You are my Son;

   today I have begotten You.

8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your heritage,

and the ends of the earth Your possession.

9 You shall break them WITH A ROD OF IRON

and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”

10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;

be warned, O rulers of the earth.

11 Serve the Lord with fear,

    and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son,

lest He be angry, and you perish in the way,

for His wrath is quickly kindled.

Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.

I’m surely not saying this is the case with all Churches but it is with many.

Many claim to be the people of God when they have no knowledge of who God is. Sure, many go to church on Sunday morning and hear a sermon, but it stops there.

They don’t read their Bibles or seek God’s face. My experience has shown me most do not want any portion of their lives measured against the teachings of the Scripture.

I cannot begin to tell the number of times I have seen so-called Christians get angry and lash out when God’s Word or the principles of God’s Word that infringe on their preferences are taught.

It's ridiculous how some will act! Let me say this, if a person is full of themselves (prideful), then there is no measure of Jesus in them!

Reread Psalm 2 to know what this behavior brings from God! The Scripture clearly says be warned, and to serve the Lord with fear and trembling.

Some naive folks may say, “this was in the old days and does not apply today” or that “this only applies to the rulers and not me.” If that is how you believe then you might as well go back and serve all the gods of old, those made up to justify the actions of man.

Because with that attitude, you sure have no understanding of the one true God! We serve God, He does not serve us! God blesses us through His love for us, and He shows Grace for the same reason.

He does not serve us, whereas the made up gods were there for the pleasures of men and to explain away the feeble minds that followed those false gods!

For those that think Psalms 2 does not apply to them, or if you know someone who leans this direction, let me remind you of these verses from

Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Psalms 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Is this enough to convince? God’s Word is truth and always applies. All of it always has, always will, and does today, and that’s just fact!

We are told not to take away from or add to the Scripture, because it is complete as far as we need it to be for this life!

The sad part in this is that this rage and plotting has become commonplace in many Churches. If this behavior is allowed to take place unchecked, God will deal with His Church, and any Church that it happens in, for it cannot be allowed!

Pride in the spirit has no place in the Church or the Christian. As the Scriptures teach, God never changes. We are the ones that must change to be more like Him!

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The Church was once strong and corporate prayer brought forth results. Today what we call “church” is not a place of learning or corporate worship. They have become places for social gatherings and exclusive clubhouses.

Any time a person or group of people decide that their way is more important than God’s direction, then sin prevails.

What comes next is usually a measured correction period determined by God in accordance with the hearts of those that need correction.

Whether you call it correction, judgment, or wrath, it will come and the form is God’s choice. Church divisions, removals of Pastors, deaths, or even complete failure of the church in question is not out of the realm of possibility, but the correction will come.

The Scripture speaks of rebellious people and that is exactly what it is when so-called Christians or congregations decide their way takes precedence over God’s Word!

I want to give you an example of how far away from God the people in a church can actually be. I was speaking with a pastor recently and he told me of a few things that have taken place in the church he presides over.

A deacon came to him and said that there were some in the church that didn’t want a bunch of new members, they were happy with their little church just the way it is.

In that same congregation during the invitation, a man came to the front and told the Pastor he enjoyed the service and not to forget to announce the fish fry the following weekend (this was during the altar call)!

Folks, those are people with spiritually sick hearts! They are concerned with things other than serving God. I find myself wanting to ask these folks if they enjoy serving their demons.

Yes, that is what that is—in reality it is the serving of demons and not the serving of God! I know this sounds very harsh, but the reality is harsh.

How do I say this? By the authority of the Word of God in this verse, Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This verse lets us know that there are dark forces at work in people, including some in many of our churches.

As it says, we must be warned and be wise and serve the Lord in fear and rejoice in trembling. Because the wrath of the Son is quickly kindled!

I’ll leave you with a quote from a teacher I lean on in my calling.

”Christians have nothing to be smug about; we are not righteous people trying to correct the unrighteous. Just one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread!”
