Walking in Faith

When the Disciples were on the boat and they saw Christ walking on the water, Peter called out and said Lord if that is you ask me to come to you. So Jesus did call to him and Peter got out of the boat and walked towards the Lord.

The rest of the Disciples could have just as easily walked on water themselves but they didn’t. I feel like that was a lesson (all be it there are several lessons in this passage) but one is that we have not because we ask not!

If Christians truly wanted our country healed we have but to ask in Faith (there’s that shield) and I believe Christ would heal our nation. Few are willing to get out of the boat and walk in Faith.

My heart has been troubled lately because there seems to be so few true followers and far too many pretenders, or at the very least too many willing to just sit on the bench and observe. It’s sad that the remnant must be so few. I find myself praying for the congregation that they may have ears to hear and eyes to see, so they’re hearts will desire to follow Christ.
