Conformity, Confirmation, and Transformation

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Make no mistake there are only two sides, Holy in the eyes of God, and evil in the eyes of God!

I believe the second greatest victory we can achieve in our lives is the conquering of ourselves. This must be done to ever truly realize the New Creature the scripture speaks of 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, Old things are passed away; Behold, all things become new.

Sadly many never come to see the new creature in themselves. What exactly does that  look like: “New Creature”? To become the new creature everything we once were must disappear, our ways, our actions and reactions and even our thoughts.

How you see things and feel about things should change because our priority must be to do our best to see through the eyes of the lord and not our fleshly eyes.

Let’s examine this a bit differently than usual. The inherent nature of man is Sin and Ignorance, the inherent nature of God is Goodness and Wisdom.

So being Sinful and ignorant we must make great effort to Conform to the will of God through the teachings and study of God’s word. This will eventually lead to our Transformation into the new creature and the realization of the new creature is in turn our confirmation.

The very first step is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and in our conviction call upon the Lord for our Salvation, then repent of our sins asking forgiveness. This is salvation 101 if I may.

Conviction is a key factor of Salvation if you were never convicted of your sin then how can you truly believe in the Lord Jesus? It is not words that get anyone into Heaven, I fear many somehow believe they are saved because they had a brief moment of emotion and repeated a prayer of salvation spoken by someone.

If this was not a life altering experience then there was no salvation, only words. We must believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and if we do, we will naturally feel conviction and repent. Thus the renewing of your mind!

If you are a saved person then sin should be instantly detestable to you, Oh we will sin, because we are flesh but how quickly we repent tells a lot about the status of our relationship with the Lord.

Here is a little test for everyone, and I think it to be a very healthy test that we should reflect on often. Can a preacher or teacher stand up and speak the truth of God’s word without you getting angry at the messenger?

Come on now think about this one, there are many verses of scripture if preached or taught that would bring deep conviction into your heart, so do you fuss at the preacher or walk out?

Lets get one thing very clear that folks cannot seem to conceive about preachers and teachers, we don’t decide what the topic we are going to teach or preach on, at least not the truly called ones.

We are inspired by the Holy Spirit through our prayer and study of the word. Any called preacher or teacher will tell you there are times we prepare for a message or lesson and the Holy Spirit will change it most often at the last minute.

There have been several times I have thought of a topic that I thought needed to be taught and I begin a writing then there is nothing, nothing comes and although I have started it, it just stops and within a day out so I will get inspired after my prayer time and everything flows.

Believe me I have several writings I have started in my archive. The most awesome thing is that I can read a writing that has been posted on the Mission Blog and it seems foreign to me as if it were someone else’s writing, a time for praise for sure!

I think it is a very healthy thing for everyone to question their salvation once, and examine their spiritual walk often!

I hope this writing helps everyone and clears some things up some might have questions about!

May you all be Blessed and inspired.

Amen
